Hosted by the CU Department of English, the 2019 symposium featured Andrea Brady (Wildfire) and Jackie Wang (Carceral Capitalism) Cookson Experimental Criticism Prize winner Phuong Vuong also read from her winning essay.
Cookson Experimental Criticism Prize
The Cookson Experimental Criticism Essay Prize was established to encourage emerging academics to experiment with form and perspective as a way to challenge the traditional conventions of critique. A prize of $2,000 is awarded, on a competitive basis, to a graduate student in University of Colorado Department of English. The 2018 winner was Jim Miranda, and the 2019 winner was Phuong Vuong.
